A brilliant marriage with Sisilapaillette
Which accessories to choose for an eco-friendly wedding spectacular ?
As a wedding photographer I love photogenic accessories that add a look spectacular the day's report:
From dried flowers to confetti projected on brides and grooms, to long ribbons around the bouquet, fancy sunglasses and fumigants agitated by guests. Fun, festive, beautiful, is that what you want for your wedding? Me too!!!
But not at any price!
You plan meticulously on D-Day? Think the next day too! Nothing makes me sadder at the end of marriages than the overflowing garbage of single-use objects, the residues of confetti on the ground and the nature polluted by the toxic products of the smokers. As a marriage provider I must have a critical look at the effects of the industry for which I am exercising. So I am delighted that I can now promote eco-friendly products to you!
Dried flowers and plants, which you can find locally and which have a lifetime of several years, are a sustainable and trendy option – a good alternative to fresh flowers. Be careful, however, because not all dried flowers are of equal value and do not have the same ecological footprint. Their popularity has made dried flowers a widely distributed product. French provenance and 100% plant composition still to be checked.
Rice is now banned in most municipalities for reasons of food waste and safety. The presence of rice on the ground on the courts of town halls or churches causes a risk of falling for passers-by. It is rare that the brides can sweep immediately after their passage (they have something else to do!).
Plant confetti offer a good alternative! No risk – they are received by the brides in a less painful way, and naturally deteriorate.
Fumigants, on the other hand, emit a rather unpleasant smell, occasionally present the risk of putting on the bride's pristine dress with light projections, and are currently only produced by companies whose main concern is not ecological. The composition is at least discouraging and the product itself and its container are neither recyclable nor biodegradable. The risk of burn and fire, especially in the summer, also plays in its disadvantage.

If the glitter c’est une entreprise parisienne, créée par deux sœurs hyper badass qui ont eu l’audace de rêver d’un monde inclusif, féministe et écoresponsable dans lequel on peut briller sans polluer. Elles ont lancé la première gamme de paillettes biodégradables, vegan et fabriquées à base de plantes. Fan de paillettes et adepte du mode de vie pailleté, je suis d’abord devenue ambassadrice Sisilapaillette.
